On the hardware side the bus is divided into controller and devices. The NOVA-Controller consists of an USB to CAN converter and power delivery system. The NOVA-Devices are functional nodes on the bus. The devices are standalone units as for example the NDS70 (Servo Controller) or controllers for positioners, steppers and sensors. The BUS-Termination is realized within the controller. Devices can be connected by LAN patch cables with RJ45 plugs. The NOVA-Controller NC6 is ready for six NOVA-Devices, the NC3 for three.
