MechOnics was founded in 2003 in Munich, Germany, and is specialising in developing, manufacturing and selling mechatronic systems for micro- and nanopositioning tasks. As drive sections we use a piezo drive that allows highest resolution in the nm-section with shiftings of up to 60 mm. This has the advantage that, once achieved, the final position can be held de-energised. Available are open as well as closed-loop actuations with a very low current consumption – even a battery-driven actuation for outdoor-applications are available.
We focus on microsystem technology and mechatronic systems. We offer solutions in the following areas: software for electronic controlling, piezo drives and micropositioner, related devices such as monomode coupler, electronics like motor controllers.

One of our new mechatronic systems: the NOVA - System
MechOnics has developed a new family of mechatronic systems (controllers and positioning devices) which are connected via a CAN-based bus. The bus delivers both, the electrical power and the data transmission for controlling the devices. The new positioning devices have the electronics integrated. Our standard positioning devices can be combined with mechatronic systems such as the NOVA-System using a special controller-device NDEM3.
